چکیده

This literature reviews the work of researchers on ground-penetrating radar (GPR). research consists five sections starting from first section that focuses general application and advantage GPR system in comparison to other types underground detection systems.
The main function is detect object buried at end full scan, output image represents total signals detected by receiver device. One applications an object, scans area receiver. second discusses methods for removing unwanted such as noise direct waves a system.
After noise, requires further analysis discover interpret object. third common used process identifying objects. There are different objects four algorithms identify landmines explosive devices.
Finally, last summarizes paper discussed identification using smart algorithm technology. These most accurate, have lower error rate cost-effective.

Detection of Shallowly Buried Landmines from Ground Penetrating Radar Signals

A method for detecting shallowly buried landmines using sequential GPR data is presented. After removing dominant coherent component of ground surface reflection from GPR data, three kinds of target features related to wave correlation, energy ratio, and signal arrival times are extracted. Since the detection problem treated here is reduced to a binary hypothesis test, an approach based on a li...

Buried Object Discrimination in a Ground Penetrating Radar Radargram

ISSN 2277 – 503X | © 2013 Bonfring Abstract--Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a nondestructive technique used for the location of objects or interfaces buried beneath the earth’s surface or located within a visually opaque structure. This research work proposes techniques for buried object discrimination for the images generated by GPR by using GPR frequency-domain spectral features. The motiv...

Buried object detection from B-scan ground penetrating radar data using Faster-RCNN

In this paper, we adapt the Faster-RCNN framework for the detection of underground buried objects (i.e. hyperbola reflections) in B-scan ground penetrating radar (GPR) images. Due to the lack of real data for training, we propose to incorporate more simulated radargrams generated from different configurations using the gprMax toolbox. Our designed CNN is first pre-trained on the grayscale Cifar...

Uxo Detection at Jefferson Proving Ground Using Ground-penetrating Radar

We have used ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to detect UXO and non-ordnance on the 40-acre site (lot 54) of Jefferson Proving Ground, Indiana. The UXO are buried within about 1 m deep in a clayey silt for which the soil water content ranged from moist near the surface to near saturation at about 1 m. We used a 16-bit radar to profile along previously established lines, and transects over artific...

Advanced Ground Penetrating Radar Signal Processing Techniques

Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a non-destructive geophysical method that uses electromagnetic waves to image the subsurface. A typical GPR system has three main components: transmitter and receiver, directly connected to the transmitting and receiving antennas, and a control unit. Electromagnetic pulses are transmitted into the subsurface and the earth response is recorded. The GPR method is...
